FAQs
Do I have to make an appointment or can I just show up?
I do not accept walk-ins. Appointments must be booked at least a few hours in advance. Online booking is the easiest method for me as I am my own receptionist. You are welcome to leave a voicemail, text message, or email if you would like to know if any same day or cancellations are available sooner.
Why don’t you accept tips?
As a self-employed therapist in an industry that lies in-between healthcare and service provider, I do not set prices based the expectation that clients provide me a discretionary cash bonus. Tipping is an American cultural norm of allowing customers to supplement workers pay so employers get a discount on labor and employees get higher pay. During a service such as massage where the worker is providing care, I don’t believe clients determining the worker’s pay rate is a good ethical practice or makes sense for a self employed therapeutic provider.
How do I book a specialty massage such as prenatal, Thai, or hot stone?
Book a massage by time and then select it as an add-on service so I know what to have ready for your session. Please be mindful that add on services are included in the service time so adding, for example, a foot scrub does not add any additional time to your session.
How does membership work?
Membership provides a way to get regular massage at a discounted rate. Instead of paying hundreds for a package up front, you can pay $95 for a one hour session every month for six months. This is not intended to be shared. You can purchase additional hours at a rate of $80 per hour, individually as a separate session or upgrade to a longer session for $40 per 30 minutes. Month to month available after the initial six months are up. Sessions expire when membership expires, with reasonable exceptions for rescheduling needs due to unexpected cancellations. Please book in advance if you purchase a package, or consider booking a standing appointment at a regular interval so you don’t forget.
Do you offer couples massage?
No, not currently. This is a solo practice and I cannot massage two people at the same time.
Do you offer gift certificates?
No. If you would like to pay for a loved ones service you can provide a card to hold on file that can be charged after services are rendered.
Do you work on men?
I welcome clients of all gender identities. If you leave me a voicemail asking if I provide services to men I will not return your call and assume you are not seeking professional therapeutic care. Any inappropriate conduct will result in your session ending early and your card being charged in full. I do not allow same day bookings for new male clients or appointments without a credit card on file.
